Larif Hamm, Spring Intern of Forum-Nexus Study Abroad, expressing why he chose to study abroad with Forum-Nexus.
The opportunity to study abroad in the Forum-Nexus Europe Program deeply contributed to helping me achieve a greater educational experience, as well as gain skills that will push me towards reaching my career and personal goals.
What is particularly appealing to me is the historic interest of the Forum Europe Summer Program. Being that history, specifically the medieval times, have always been of personal interest, the location of the Summer Program makes the experience even more appealing. Though Europe is one of the most visited continents of the world, few have the opportunity to participate in hands-on history. I would like to expand my horizons and be a part of that history. As a Business Marketing student of Temple University’s Fox School of Business, I strive to absorb as much professional development as possible relevant to today’s digital global economy. Studying abroad will allow me to experience life in a different environment, in affect allowing myself to gain a diverse economic, personal, and cultural perspective.
The opportunity to travel and study abroad is not one I would take for granted. This summer, I will take full advantage of the opportunity and represent the program’s core values through my intellect, personality, and ambition. I am willing to set aside what is common to me and immerse myself completely in another culture to learn the lessons that a book cannot give.
